Hi,

So my PC was a bit dusty despite my fine filters so I decided it's time for a quick spring cleaning...and also I had nothing else to do. Truth be told it wasn't really that dusty but hey....who doesn't like cleaning his baby :P

I apologize in advance for bad quality of some pics...it wasn't the best lighting conditions and I was taking pics with a smartphone and I have shaky hands :)

So here are some pics before:

Now let s clean it shall we :)

The monster air compressor...hehe but seriously you have to use very gentle presses on the trigger since it is really strong and you can easily damage some components with air blowing too strong

And after:

And here is my setup all cleaned and organized finally :)

post-55192-0-20256300-1427483238_thumb.jpost-55192-0-68552800-1427483270_thumb.j

Not much but it is good enough for me. Simple and practical :)

So guys what kind of setup do you have?..please share here I would like to see how other people set up their PC room/corner/table :)

Also a quick question...how do I rotate images here...on my PC they were oriented correctly here the vertical ones lie horizontally.

From what I've read on here and BaPC, it's a bad idea to use air compressors as some water (god knows where) may spew out, its always better to use canned compressed air, if I'm wrong please correct me anyone, I'm still a young padawan  Other than that, looks pretty good

Not possible in my case...where can the water come from....there is no water in the compressor  at all so I really don't know what you ment by that

My old shop had a compressor that would spew water out for a good minute every morning, Just make sure to let it blow all out and you're fine.

You must have had a compressor that uses water to push the air. Mine is homemade...yes HOMEMADE :) and uses no water at all. I cant explain exactly how it works because my father made it quite some time ago :)

It is possible for a compressor to accumulate moisture vapor inside the tank that will condense into water after the rapid decompression when leaving the nozzle. This is rarer in newer systems because these days they include a water trap to prevent the discharge of water. If you have an older system or a lower quality newer system, it is still possible to discharge water if you don't buy and install a water trap on your own, or at least regularly completely empty the system in a very specific way in order to let gravity remove most of the moisture from the system.

Interesting, from now on I will blow some air out before cleaning the PC, although it never ever happened to me that it would spray out any water. It is probably because it is always stored in a room that has a bit less than a normal room temperature all through the year (no major temp changes at all so no way to create condensation)

Actual air compressors can hold in condensation and if they don't have the correct valve or a drain plug, they will 'spit' water for a minute

Canned compressed air has liquid on it. I excreted some on my motherboard because of that, hopefully nothing broke..

It's not so much the ambient temperature, it the relative humidity of the air being pumped into the system when it's charging. If the compressor is in a decent climate controlled environment, then it's less of a worry. If it's in place where the humidity changes throughout the year then it can be a much bigger issue. Given how cheap moisture traps are, it's always a good idea to make sure your system has one instead of risking it just because it's never happened before. Just my 2c.

It looks like your system already has one included, but I would need better pictures to be sure. If it doesn't, for a compressor that size I would look at something like this.
