Defective HD 598s?

I bought some HD 598's today and I just plugged them in and in all youtube videos voices of people make a small vibrating buzz sound in the left ear. I've switched ears and its the same on the right when I switch it. I've also tried both audio jacks in my computer. Can I fix this or do I need to return them for another pair?

Have you tried it with a different device like a phone or tablet or anything else?

Remove the earpads and check for stuck hair between the driver and the earpads.

I did and it doesn't look like there is.

And yes I checked the same video on my phone and the same problem consisted

When I shake it I hear something rattling around..

They do sound faulty...

 

I'd get them RMA'd
