I don't know how people think the Modmic sounds good. It really doesn't. My shitty 22 dollar gaming headset has a better built in mic. I really hope the Modmic 5.0 ACTUALLY sounds good, because then it really would be an incredible product. It shouldn't be hard for the excessive price they are charging.

What's the use of the code?

 

You purchase the promo code from the first site. Then they email you the code which you use on the actual site with the mic and it discounts it to $0.00 like in the photo.

 
I received mine within about 1 week. Same hard case that Linus shows in his video. Haven't hooked it up yet but looks and feels great.
