So on about May 10'th or so my school is going on their 3'rd and final kayaking trip, and this one is rather going to be probably the best, since we are revisiting Wikki Wachi springs, and this time around we are going to stay the whoooleee entire day, and we are going to do a lot of stuff such as using those thingys (excuse me i dont the the names for them) that go into the water to examine it (you can see it very clearly and all the microorganisms in it), some looking at stuff like clams etc, and.. geocaching games.

about 0.1% of my school knows what geocaching is, and that 0.1% is me... :)

I havn't ever geocached, but I learned about it about 2 or 3 years ago, and I know pretty much the basics, but I need tips, onto what apps are useful for such thing, and what are some good methods if any. If anyone can also link any good geocaching guides/sources, becasue they want me to explain to them what it is.. and in which I thought them some stuff but nothing advanced due to my lack of advanced knowing of geocaching

So yeah.

Answer away..

Using a GPS on an iPhone is way too precise... Today's technology takes away the fun of searching for the loot, and instead take you within 5 feet of it. Half the fun of geocaching is spending 15 minutes or so looking. I went geocaching in the 3rd grade, but I suggest getting an older GPS off of eBay or something just to make it more enjoyable :P

I see you live in Florida, so here is a source for geocaching all over the states (Florida is selected)
