This build does require a BIOS update on the motherboard, and is without OS unfortunately. 

 

EDIT: If you don't want to do bios updates and don't mind spending a little more money, you could go with a H97 mobo, like this one: MSI H97 PC Mate

I'm not 100% sure but I thought every motherboard with a H81 or B85 chipset requires a bios update if used with a haswell refresh cpu...
