Just wanted to say, this is a HUGE step for LMG that a lot of people don't seem to understand. Countless other content creators ARE moving to Vessel because they're simply MORE content creator friendly. YouTube/Google, but enacting all of these ToS and other rules that limit the professionalism and actual business that you can put into your videos, is reverting back to their old "home-video sharing" ways.

 

I truly think that this is something Linus Media Group as a whole NEEDED to do. And I'm glad they did it. Vessel is admittedly not great right now, not even knowing how to properly show you videos in the order that they were uploaded (Seriously makes it hard to binge watch things) and low bit-rate video playback on occasion (seemingly random, I'm on business grade internet, I'm SURE I can load 1080p), but they WILL improve over time as they get that boost in revenue from people joining thanks to people like LMG and other content creators.

 

I'll keep my cynicism hat hung up for now, and trust Linus on his business decision.

Jeeze, I don't even know what I'd WANT to win! Could use that ultrawide for video editing, the laptop for college+video editing (going for digital film & video), that 960gig SSD for everything, the HoF card for anything, the headphones to replace my aging HD668b's...etc! I guess I just won't be disappointed regardless of what I win, which of course, I will :)

I really wish that we'd just make organic hardware already, that grows and adapts to the demands it needs to meet. That way, grannies' computers can be floppy sacks of organicness and the 12 year old Minecrafters will look like the guys that only do bicep curls, and the nerdy programmers will finally have justice, with their body-builder rigs that skipped leg day.
