I just bought Windows Home Server 2011 factory sealed and I was wondering what the proper way is to back up a disk to a computer.

Just copy the ISO file to the computer

It's not an ISO image though, they just sent me the disk

A disk has a ISO file that is what makes it well have stuff....use DVDencrypter and select read and copy it to your computer
