For the best audio quality (headphone wise) at that price point, I'd get a pair of Pioneer SE-A1000 and a Zalman Zm-Mic1. Sure the mic won't be amazing like a modmic but it's also 1/4 the price.

Seriously? What are you basing this on?

The Clouds are based on a much superior headphone to the HD 419.

Sennheiser is known worldwide for high quality audio. These cans might not be the best, but they still are high quality.

Hyperx is used by gamers worldwide... although the clouds have a much supperior build quality

If you want something that will last a LONG time and use for games, use clouds.

If you want high quality audio, use Sennheiser

tbf, if you want something really comfortable and higher quality use the Sennheiser 429s for like $10 more

So what? That has nothing to do with whether or not a specific headphone is any good.

He said he is using these for music.

Sennheiser is a brand with an audiophile-grade reputation. Their products are great and even used in studio. I am not saying that the 419s are being used professionally, Im just stating that since Sennheiser is a more reputable brand, I expect their product to be of higher quality then those of Hyperx. That is all I am saying.

What does it matter what the headphones will be used for? Audio is audio. And again, the reputation of the company is irrelevant to how the headphones actually sound. And as I have explained, the Clouds are based on a better headphone than anything in the HD4xx product line.

Hyperx Clouds is just a nice quality gaming mic in my opinion

Maybe your right, but this is still up to preference. Each side has pros and cons to it, that in not arguable.

For example build quality, material, noise blocking, bass/treble boosts, etc...

Anyways, im not really inclined to continue this argument as I have only tried the clouds once, but own the 419s

I'm sorry, but I have to just say something here...

Sure, Senn has had some high quality products and has had products with an audiophile-grade reputation, but that doesn't define all of it's products.  Using that statement to recommend a product over another is a tad ill-fated and not one that should be used to decide upon a pair of headphones.

Example: Apple is known for (as a general) beautiful quality and pretty decent products (albeit the price), but would you recommend a magic mouse to someone over another mouse because the name Apple? I hope not!  Cause those mouses suckkkkkkkkk (IMO of course ;D).

The statements you stated can of course be used to help make a decision, but that should be a rather low deciding factor.

Cheers

see? it is your personal preference whether the mouses suck or not. It was my personal preference to choose the hd419s... Just the headphones that in my experience have perfectly acceptable sound and build quality. If you look at my first post, I say in my opinion, which is not stating a fact. No, they may not be better, but in my experience they are. Also, I never called the hd419s audiophile-grade. Hell nah m8 - far from it. Just a nice quality cheap pair of headphones that are nice to listen to music in - and thats what OP asked for.
