so i was running the windows 10 since nov/dec, my at idle, (chomre with 3 tabs, g-drive, Mbytes, (paid) rainmeter)

it would use 3/6gbs of ram and .5 gbs of virtual ram

Now i went back to 7 in preparation for the the free ugrade in a few months

and now with no change to my habits

5.5/6gbs of ram

and 11gbs of virtual memory....

what the actual fck, ....

ik 8/10 was more efficient but, this really shows how much more..

i may have some random setting wrong.. but my system is running 95% same as it was on 10. other than the os

is this really legit or something jacked up?

TBH I never noticed much of a difference in the times I tried Windows 8.1, though it did seem to start fast. As for its use of system resources over Win 7, they were pretty much the same. With Windows 10 so far it has a really long startup and logon time when compared to Win 7 and 8.1, though everything else is definitely opening programs faster, and its actually a lot lighter on system resources than Windows 7 (from my experience).

hmm...i wonder if it is just a fresh install thing, and if it will go away after a few days

i had noticed before that 10 was faster but not by much.

but i think this "lag in comparison" is just crazy.

probbly an update or 2 + a few reboots, should in theory fix it..idunno
