That "supported memory speed" spec, refers to the highest speed guaranteed. Everything lower is included in that.

The rating is for the highest clockspeed a processor supports. It can support any speed under said rating just fine.

The OG System: I3-2370M @ 2.4 GHz, 750GB 5400 RPM HDD, 8GB RAM @1333Mhz, Lenovo Z580 Laptop (Ubuntu 16.04 LTS).

What processor only supports 2133MHz  :huh:  If a processor supports 2133MHz it supports 1600MHz.
