I have a few grand i could invest in something random for fun but i honestly wouldn't know how to go about buying/selling them. I think i'll sleep better with it under my mattress :)

You should put $150 in bitcoin. You can use Coinbase to buy and sell it. It's really easy.

buy low sell high xD.

I bought about $100 CAD worth when the price was around $200 USD in Jan.

Hoping to have the cash to buy more before the price goes up again.

No one can know what will happen but with more people learning about bitcoin and more businesses accepting it I think there is a good chance the price will go back up.

 

In the end I buy bitcoin hoping it will go up but I never invest more than I can afford to lose.

Everyday could be a new all time low.

Or an all time high if your lucky ;)

That's not gonna happen overnight, I can promise you that. There's a good 1000 dollar jump before it reaches that mark again. My point is that just because the price is currently low compared to historic value it's not necessarily a good time to invest, nor will the value necessarily ever rise to it's former high. You can very well be lucky, but there will never be a "time to buy bitcoin", there will only be a "is now the time I want to gamble with my money?".

Due to the fact bitcoin dose not represent the value of a physical object it is impossible to accurately predict the price. In the end it is supply and demand the less bitcoin available and the more people that want it the higher the price. lees people more coins = lower price.
