my current router is Dlink DIR 655, it drops connection once in a while, weak signal strength for me, I feel its almost not worth keeping it around..is there any other good routers with much more strength/performance throw solid concrete walls? Im looking to purchase one ASAP either through NCIX or canadacomputers locally. I dont deal with extending the range or getting more adapters to cope with it

The Linksys EA6300 is a pretty good high end router. What price range were you looking at?

something 120$cdn or less

if you have thick concrete walls, maybe adding access points would be a more effective solution if you can bring network cables to the point in your house where the signal is weak.

now for your connection dropping issue, is it caused only by you wifi strength beeing too weak or is the router crashing?

I know my dgl 4500 would crash whenever i used the wifi. Using access points instead of the built in wifi solved the problem. but that is a problem common to only to the dgl4500.

Anything I write is just a comment, take is as such, there is no guarantees associated with anything I say.
