So i'm trying to install a Wi-Fi dongle on my little brother's PC, but when the driver is installed, I get this:

it just keeps on doing that forever. 

 

what could this be? my house is from 1906 with solid bricks, so theres no ethernet in this house except where it comes in in the basement, so yeah i'm forced to use Wi-Fi.........

I would say that the dongle is faulty, maybe you can get a new one? (I mean it finds the connection and then powers off, finds connection, powers off. It must be the dongle)

I would say that too, but on my laptop it works perfectly!

Try a different usb port. Maybe the one that its connected to is faulty or something. Also remove the extension wire and plug the wifi adapter into the back of the pc
