Adobe CC Render Times - Mac or PC?

Go to solution Solved by Brandon Cassie,

CPU (4750HQ?) in the mac would outperform the Athlon

GPU's processing power may help the PC

All in all, the Mac should come out on top

I have the latest late 2013 Mac Book Pro 15'' Retina with a Core i7 clocked @ 2.2GHz (Turbo upto 3.4GHz) with 1.5GB Iris Pro Graphics and 8GB RAM. I also have a custom build PC (budget oriented) with a GTX 750tTi (over clocked based on the LTT over clock spreadsheet) and a quad core athlon x4 760K overclocked to 4.3Ghz wth 8GB RAM. I was wondering which would be faster for rending (mostly in after effects and premiere) I know this might sound like an obvious conclusion (the mac with the core i7) but I'm unsure how much AE and Premiere will benefit from the GTX 750Ti's cuda acceleration.

Thanks,

James

Thanks, just as I expected - now time to buy the student license :D

You can install Adobe CC on two computers so no need to choose  ;)

Intel Core i7-5820k @ 4,6Ghz; Asus X99 Deluxe; GSkill Ripjaws 4 (4x4) 2400Mhz; MSi GTX 980 Reference @ 1.4Ghz; CM V700; Phanteks Enthoo Luxe; Windows 8.1 Pro
