is maxwell dead on launch? will pascal's NV link require a new motherboard?

Who knows. I have only heard good watts per performance other than that idk.

Nice, but honestly who actually has room in their case for 8 graphics cards? If it works it'll require not only new motherboards, but new cpu's. (8*16x PCIe gen3?) even single slot cards will require extensive wa6ter cooling when stuck that close together.

 

Maxwell isn't dead yet.

NVLink will not be for the average consumer IMO. Pascal will be awesome though. 16nm with HBM! Can't wait.

Tech companies are almost always working on the next line of products. If you want to call Maxwell 'dead' because Nvidia talks about Pascal, then technically everything you will ever buy would also be considered 'dead'

by that idea pascal is already dead.

Everybody knows the computer you just brought was outdated the moment it left the showroom. The question is always will it still run everything you want it to?
