What was your previous CPU?

I checked and The CPU is An Intel Pentium T7400 Dual Core Processor @ 2.16 Ghz

They've same amount of pins but they're different sockets

Picture doesnt work.

It depends again if the laptop's socket is a PGA478 or PPGA478 which is designed for newer cpu's

The pic shows the pin-to-pin incompatibility

 

PS:

PGA478 is a desktop socket.

IMO it isn't worth if the actual CPU works

...unless you don't care about the thing bc iirc there's a way to pinmod merom CPU's to increase FSB frequency

the goal is to breath new life into this system i am quite fond of it and i did get i back up and running my self
