Hey guys, this is my 1st post :)  been watching Linus' videos for ever now and just got around to signing up on here.  anyways i finally joined

the master race and i was going to  buy all new and build myself but i came across (what i hope ) is/was a good deal (since i bought it).  it is

a   I7 3770k (stock cooler), sabertooth z77 mobo, 16GB corsair dominator (not platnium) ram, 750w PSU  (cant recall exact brand right now

im at  work lol)  and the GPU is a Raedeon 5970 all in a NZXT phantom full tower.    i got this for $600 Canadian.    now my question is 1st

was this an ok deal? And second should i buy and SSD as it doesnt have one or should i get a closed loop water cooler or upgrade the GPU

as its fairly old ( im not playing BF )  the most demanding game i play (on occasion)  is titanfall and im looking for decent frames at 1080p.

thanks in advance for all the info you can give :D

Think a GPU upgrade would be nice right now. Then a SSD for sure. Get the Evo 212 if you want some mild overclocking for a very cheap price. There's the X61, H240-X, H110i GT, NH-D15, Dark Rock Pro 3, and other great CPU coolers if you want to spend some more money.

My build: tis be ordered

Buying an evo 212 is indeed a good choice. And that's a nice deal you made.

first thing you want to focus on is upgrading that gpu. if you can afford it, the r9 290/290x is sitting at a pretty good price. also the 970 would be a good choice as well. if that price bracket is too high look at getting an r9 280x or 280. (that goes down to about 250.00 CND) my recommendation would be the 970 for the 400-450 price range and either the 280 or 280x for the 200-300 range.

save the ssd for later. other than the graphics card, that is a pretty decent system for 600.00. all it needs is a good graphics card and it will be a gaming beast.

My rig:
CPU: i5 4690k 24/7 @4.4ghz (1.165v) Max 4.7ghz (1.325v) COOLER: NZXT Kraken X61 MOBO: Asus Z97-A   RAM: 16GB Crucial Ballistix Tactical   GPU: EVGA GTX 970 SSC   PSU: EVGA GS 650W   CASE: NZXT Phantom 530 HDD: WD Caviar Blue 1TB + WD Black 2TB
