Windows 10 to make the Secure Boot alt-OS lock out a reality

Windows 10 will now make option to switch off secure boot optional for OEM's to receive Windows Logo Certification.

This will make it harder for non-Windows operating systems to be installed on Windows hardware especially laptops.

Microsoft does not sign other operating systems with its keys and has no plans to do so. Ubuntu's Canonical limited has initiated signing itself and asked OEM's to include its keys in their secure boot database but only HP and Dell include Ubuntu and Fedora keys and other smaller OEM's don't include any except Microsoft keys.

Debian, Arch Linux do not sign their OS.

Self compiled kernel's will not work at all.

If this continues it will be impossible to install other non-Windows operating systems on PC hardware.
