If memory serves the Black Edition go through more thorough testing... but if Newegg reviews are anything to go off, the quality control and post-purchase customer support is just as awful as with the non Black Edition. I'd really recommend going Sapphire or MSI, but otherwise I'd say there's not really any benefit to getting the Black Edition over the normal.

I have used XFX for 9 or so months without any problem.

The difference between the Black edition and the normal is the Black edition comes with a OC pre-installed

Yeah there's that, but I don't personally consider that a difference since that just means the card has its power target and clock speed increased out of the box, which you can do yourself by spending a few seconds in MSI Afterburner or something.

And even in a company that has below average quality control and customer support, the majority of people will still not have issues.

They have 3 year warranties anyways if the DD does decide to shit the bed. Mine's been going strong OC'd for 4 or 5 months now.

Edit: Actually it's a lifetime warranty.

Every GPU company has warranties, that's not gonna stop them from taking ages to reply to your e-mails, give you irrelevant copypasta answers and make you pay for shipping and wait weeks upon weeks for a replacement.

Tru, when I got mine, it was actually cheaper to get the black edition, so I got it
