OBS Black Bar Issue

The Dragon

I've been trying to livestream but for some reason there are blacks bars on the sides that I can't figure out how to get rid of them. I don't mind the top and bottom ones but if they could go away it would be nice but the side ones make it ugly looking. I think its because of my monitor resolution (1400x900) but I'm not sure. http://imgur.com/a/jMAWwThere is screenshots of everything. Thanks

Have you tried putting the base resolution as the "Monitor" option?

You could try adding a custom 1600 x 900 (16:9) resolution and streaming with that to see if it solves your said problem.

ON A 7 MONTH BREAK FROM THESE LTT FORUMS. WILL BE BACK ON NOVEMBER 5th.

The left and right black bars are because of Twitch page layout. They would go away if user selects Cinema option, Full screen or launches stream in popup window. You can test this with any stream. Open and close side bars and see how stream window rescales.

The top and bottom ones in other hand are because of your screen/game resolution and HD resolution aren't compatible. So when OBS is rendering video to output resolution it scales image to fit in output resolotion.

Just right click your game capture source and go to properties. Then check fit to screen and ignore aspect ratio.
