Windows Multipoint Replacement?

Does anyone know a good replacement for Windows Multipoint? Im trying to set up my desktop so that more than 1 user can use it at a time. The reason I don't want to get windows server and multipoint is that it costs a several hundred dollars at which point I might as well just build more desktops.

 

 I was thinking of using multiseat in linux while virtualizing windows on each client, or if I could somehow set up a virtual desktop in windows with separate inputs and have them automatically launch onto the other monitors.

 

Any help would be appreciated thanks.
