Hi. So recently my laptop's screen got a weird line on it. I say weird because it is a vertical line, going from the top, but not till the bottom. It's not there on full black. It's not there on full white. It's not there on red 0 green 0 blue any. It's not there when red and green are evenly matched. But, if red and green are not evenly matched, it becomes visible. It's not dead pixel line, for sure, and it's certainly not a normal stuck pixel line. Just what in the world is it? BTW I won't RMA the screen, this is the 2nd replacement..(acer V5-573G). I'd rather buy a new sturdier laptop. It appeared recently, so before all was fine.

If it was a dead line, there would be issues on full white. If it was a stuck line, there would be issues on black screen. In this line, which is 4/5 of height long, only every 2nd pixel is affected. That can't be a normal broken line. I've ruled out software. Also, as I said, when you even out the red/green, the problem disappears.
