So I've got this weird problem. A week or so ago CS GO was running smooth as butter, then a couple of days ago some weird rubber-banding/stuttering started happening. All of my friend seemed to be fine and all other games don't have the same problem. Anyone know the cause or fix?

Are you doing anything at the time of playing? If you are watching a video/listening to music, or downloading music, etc. etc. Then there is bandwidth usage, and this inhibits your connection to the server, and therefore your ping will skyrocket. For instance, if I'm watching the new video on the Titan X and playing CS:GO comp at the same time, my ping will spike and go into the high 100s for a few seconds while the video buffers the video further along, therefore taking up a fair bit of bandwidth for a short period of time. Also, if someone else is doing a lot of youtube browsing, or netflix watching, then your ping will be a lot higher.

It is march break so if you have family members, like a brother or sister, or parent home all day, then they are more likely to be on services like YouTube, or Spotify, or Netflix, which would cause the rubber banding and ping spikes, hope this helps!

Downloading programs from CNet is not a good idea, as they will commonly include unwanted, and sometimes dangerous bloatware... The more you know.

Nope, no videos/streams, nothing (family as well). I've gone through all the programs that could be eating up my internet and nothing helps. I also tried turning off ShadowPlay and that didn't help either. I am using a TPlink power-socket link to get wired, could that be a problem? This is only confusing because nothing changed at all in terms of setup and stuff but the game just started dying on me....
