Hi,

About a week ago, my computer broke, I was playing well, and sudently, on the screen only showed "No Vídeo Signal" or something like that.

The GPU had a burning smell, so it was broken.

I took the computer to the store, and they said it was still on the 3 years period of Asus Waranty.

The GPU btw is a GTX 660ti OCII, and allmost three years ago, I payed 335€ for it.

I've sent the GPU a week ago from Portugal, it arrived to Republic Czech yesterday right in the morning, but I haven't had a response about it, nether an email to contact.

I just wanted to know what's your experience with the Asus support, what they may do to the GPU (Replace with one equal or with one newer), and if there's a chance of pay something else and get a 970, since the new 960 doesn't have the connection I need...

Just asking because when we buy something, some don't think on the support, but it's always good to take in count :)

Probably in queue and on its way up to the techs? Whole process could take up to a month.

God, so much time to be seen.... So much time without a GPU... :(

My BenQ XL2411G was sent back to the manufacturer via the retailer as once I opened the box, I found a pretty big mark. Even through the retailer, it doesn't speed things up, it still took 5 weeks to come back. The customer service person told me earliest would be 4 weeks, latest 6 weeks.

Really? I hope my BenQ doesn't get anything then... Once I send a PSU to Corsair, It took 3 days to get from Portugal to Netherlands and for them to ship a new one, but...

They screw me and sent it by road, which means I had to wait two weeks for the new PSU to arrive.

From Sanddisk, I had a broken SSD, and it was shipped, replaced and arrived in less than a week (it went for UK).

And btw, nice build you got there  :D

What does the consumer law in your country say about warranty and repairs?

Here in Australia suppliers must allow a reasonable amount of time (2, generally a max of 3 weeks) to rectify the situation. I've often had Asus gear returned to me within the same week.

Need help with the RMA/retail side of things? Feel free to send me a PM, always happy to share my industry experience with others.
