First Post-Need help with IPS

Hey guys, I need help picking a monitor for my upcoming build. I'm kinda a gamer but I would prefer my monitor to have great color reproduction (aka IPS) but still be able to game well on it as well as watch a lot of movies on it. The graphics card I'm using is a GTX 970 for now, and price range is in between $250-400 (450 max if you can convince me).

TBH, I'm not sure. I'm not really a fan of anything over 27 inch, unless I was gonna go for that LG 34um95...(I wish). In terms of resolution, I think 1900x1080 is the sweet spot for the 970 if I remember correctly somewhere said that. But maybe even 1900x1200 would be really good to have. I don't think I want to go 4K because I would rather give up pixels rather than overall quality of the picture.
