Headset Selection Help

Hey guys

I have $160 AUD and I want to get a gaming headset. I am a CS GO player and I need to be able to hear footsteps in a 360 degree angle. Right now I have a virtual surround 5.1 headset. I was thinking of getting a SteelSeries Siberia V3. I don't know it will affect my ability to hear footsteps around me. I am curois about what you guys think so comment away!

A pair of decent headphones such as the superluxx HD668B along with a cheap desktop mic will be ideal.

If you want a headset as in mic attached, consider the hyperx cloud or cloud IIs as well as the qpad QH 85 / 90 or 1336.

 

ANY other headset is crap and not worth the money.

Definitely get either the HyperX Cloud I or II. They're are basically re-branded QPAD headphones, meaning that they have excellent sound quality for the price. The mic is also pretty decent.
