Basic PC to play Minecraft.

Hi everyone, I'm planning on a basic build for a friend and am trying to keep it under $130 for the motherboard, cpu, and ram. I am thinking of going with this on newegg, http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboBundleDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.2145175. I'm looking for it to push minecraft at 720p at basic settings. We plan on adding a gpu later on but for now I am hoping this will do low setting gaming on Minecraft, Left 4 Dead 1 + 2, or even lowest settings BF4. Would this be able to handle all this without much or any lag? I have a case, power supply, and 2GBs of 1333 DDR3 ram to add to it.

are you only buying the cpu mob and ram, if not can we get the budget for the total build and see what you have in mind so we can shave off some money where we can

i would say that something like this would be better since you have no gpu, however you will be limited in upgrades on that board, and any decent gpu will likly bottleneck with that apu.

Yeah I'm only going for the cpu, motherboard, and ram. I have a working PSU, Case, Monitor, Keyboard, and mouse.

playing minecraft? without a gpu? good luck.

But in all seriousness, I'm building a computer for a friend, and with a MIR theirs a great deal for a gt 740 that can run minecraft pretty well

I actually have a friend who's sending me his old Asus GT 630 2GB DDR3 cards for $50 for this system and my HTPC (currently uses a HD 5450)

Minecraft favors strong single core performance, so ideally you want to go Intel. With a h97 motherboard you get an upgrade path to Broadwell. Other wise you could settle for a cheap h81 board and meet your $130 target:

Motherboard: ASRock H97M Anniversary Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($68.98 @ OutletPC)
Total: $151.20
