bios taking long to load

i have a gigabyte z97x gaming 5 mobo and the screen where it gives you the option to press del to boot into the bios normaly takes 2-3 seconds to appear but the last few of days its been taking like 8-10 seconds please help

Did you recently add new hardware? And are there usb devices(other than mouse/keyboard) that are plugged in while booting? I do have to warn you that glitches are normal with your board(my brother has it too, he has been fighting with it lol).

i have a usb wifi dongle thats all

I would try removing it to see if that fixes it(or you could try another USB port too).

its fixed it was the usb speaker i have thanks

I have this same problem but on asus z97-a. Gets to that screen but takes good 20 secs of mashing del to get into bios. I might try remove usb things plugged in.
