My brother recently got a new Acer Aspire series PC thinking that he can game on it. He didn't even ask me to build it so now he's asking me for help. Im going to build him a better pc but for now he needs something that can make this pc somewhat decent in games like CS:GO. Only problem is I have no idea about GPUs in the low end. It needs to be low profile too. I was thinking just throwing in an ASUS GT 630. What do you guys think?

GT630 is only usefull if your mobo doesnt have the display outputs you need... for CS GO it might do

MSI makes a low profile 750Ti, that is gonna be your best bet

edit: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127836&cm_re=msi_750ti-_-14-127-836-_-Product

it looks like a low profile card but won't be worth a shit if it doesn't come with a low profile bracket............ and I didn't see one.

If it's low profile, the best you're able to fit is the 750ti, but even that is at around the price of a nonlowprofile 960.

So if you can find a 630/640/730/740, they'll do the job as they are low profile but I wouldn't pay anything more than $40 for them. You'll have to look around but you might find one.

But if he's ok with a high priced 750, you can get the low profile and then install in the new pc once he builds it.

The r7 260x is a relatively small card and IMO very good bang for the buck, other than that look into a 750 or a 750ti if u can afford it

Product reviews say it is included. It pretty much always is, a lot of manufacturers just fail to mention it in the product details. You're going to give up VGA connectivity in that case, though.

i didn't see it included in the card I looked at. if it is included, my low profile cards came with 2 low profile adapters. one was for the vga..... but that can be unplugged from the card anyways. I like to know for sure before buying something.

wonder what happened to OP?  is it low profile or single slot you are looking for. The vague discription of the machine shows many different configurations when searched for.

It wont deliver 60fps which is pointless to play it below that xD

But yeah, a 260x should do the trick.
