SSD?

Go to solution Solved by Vbgf,

Lol, don't. If that is the case, migrate your OS.

i would go with a Samsung 840 (or 840 pro if you are willing to spend more money)

Desktop CPU: Intel i5 2500K Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H77M-D3H GPU: EVGA 660TI 2GB Ram: Kingston 8GB 1333Mhz PSU: Unknown 500w Case: Unknown Hard drive:  WD Black 1TB Heatsink: stock OSWindows 8.1

I know my pc sucks but it does what I want it to do.

Laptop Dell E6320 OSWindows 8.1 / Ubuntu gnome 15.04

Almost 10% of the topics in the storage sub-forum are about SSD advice.

And in those topics the overall winner is the Samsung 840 series SSD :).

Well i got 840 pro awhile back. My pocket screamed for 1 month but the speed and the joy still last :D. Besides you get 5yr warranty on pro compared to the 3 on the normal so there is your reliable thingy. For speed the pro tops the normal. Thou all this comes if you are willing to pay more for it ofc :)

(my opinion is that if you are gonna blow money on a SSD, let'd be the best* one at least. :D)

I do recommend making a clean install of the OS and transfering files though.
