850 might be pushing it.

1000 seems ok since there will be 2 780s.

for the psu: http://www.extreme.outervision.com/psucalculatorlite.jsp

in these days i'm doing some configurations for a friend of mine, and i red more than once that evga psu may cause problem especially with MSI and Gygabyte mobo, maybe they fixed it, maybe not, i'd go with another brand, just to be sure..

Did you think about watercool everything? you should have enough budget for it.

With a 3D monitor you will have a higher frequency, usually 144 Hz vs 60 for a stock monitor

My Rig:

Case: Cooler Master CM II 690 Advanced USB3; Motherboard: Asus P8z77-v; Processor: i5 3550 3.3 GHz - 3.7GHz, oc @ 3.9-4.1 GHz; Graphic cards: two XFX 7850 black edition oc @ 1 GHz;

Ram: Corsair Vengance Red 2x4 GB 1600 MHz CL8; Heatsink: Noctua NH-U9B; Power supply: Corsair HX750 W 80 Plus Gold; Storage: SSD Vertex 3 120 GB +2 HDD Wester Digital 1 TB

800-850w is more than enough.

1000w is overkill.

around 850watts will be fine but 1000watts gives you some more room for overclocking and all the expansions you can think of. If you're planning on adding a third gtx-780 at some point and overclocking cpu + gpu then i'd go for the 1000watts

Core i7 4820K  |  NH-D14 | Rampage IV Extreme | Asus R9 280X DC2T | 8GB G.Skill TridentX | 120GB Samsung 840 | NZXT H440  |  Be quiet! Dark Power Pro 10 650W

A third 780 is very impractical as the performance increase falls off.

A 800w will be plenty even for heavy overclocking.
