Hyperx Cloud II vs Asus Strix Pro

Hello Guys,

Can you please help me decide the winner between these two headsets?

I don't really know the difference between 2.0 and 7.1 channels but to be honest I really like how the Strix looks.

Thanks in advance.

id say asus strix, the hyperx clouds are virtual 7.1 sound while the asus are true 7.1 sound, behind the ear cups there are 7 tiny drivers so it sounds pretty nice

The strix doesn't have tiny drivers. Razer tried that with the Tiamat 7.1s and it was a failure.

The hyperX by far. 7.1 surround is a gimmick and you should not pay any attention to it. If you want true surround then get open headphones and use the in game headphone mode. Asus is also not an audio company so it sounds absolutely shitty. The kingston is a rebrand of a Takstar headphone which actually sounds good.

That's the Strix 7.1

The OP is questioning the Strix Pro which is stereo, which has no 'tiny drivers'

version is mentioned in the strawpoll.

Pro = stereo

7.1 = tiny drivers.

Clouds. Why is this even a question? Just based on looks alone the Clouds win. And when you get into sound quality, well the Asus has no ground to stand on. Clouds win hands down.

PC Audio Setup = Beyerdynamic DT 770 pro 80 ohm and Sennheiser pc37x (also for xbox) hooked up to Schiit Fulla 3

If you're going to buy a gaming headset, the HyperX Cloud is your best possible option.  I really dislike headsets, so I would recommend a separate pair of headphones + a modmic.
