Best Way to connect a PS3 controller to laptop

I want to use my laptop on the home theater and sit on the couch with a PS3 controller,

the laptop has Bluetooth. What is the best way to do it?

there is only two ways, blutooth or a usb cable.

Sorry i didn't really explain it probably. What software or method is the best? Sorry for the confusion

Use this....SCP PS3 I use it all the time..works a Ok...for bluetooth you will need a bluetooth adapter

You just plug in your PS3 controller, download and install the latest version and presto.

Your PC thinks it's an XBOX controller which means it'll work with pretty much any game and allow you to map the buttons in game.

use a usb connector. best to aviod lagging
