Is this a good mobo? Upgrading/replacing Maximus VI Hero

zenithar

A PCIE slot went dead after almost one year on the day today on the Maximus VI Hero, my luck ughh lol.

I really don't wanna leave the ROG line since they have great quality products. Does anyone else have the Maximus VII Hero, & do you love it? It looks like it has some great upgrades & features compared to its predecessor, not to mention it looks so slick & badass IMO.

Thanks everyone. :)

Why not just get the vii formula?

Good question. What are the differences between the two?

Edit: Seeing that one now. It's ehh lol. I don't like it's design.

They are the same but the Formula is beefed up and has -

1. 3300 Max memory speed instead of 3200

2. 1 mini PCIE 2.0 instead of none

3. An optional liquid cooling slot

4. A steel Baackplate

5. A Steel Armor

6. Looks a LOT better

7. Has dual Sata Express instead of none

8. Has SupremeFX Formula instead of SupremeFX (Better sound quality)

9. Has Support for mpcie and M.2

10. Wifi

11. Bluetooth (The Hero does not have 10 or 11)

Lets all ripperoni in pepperoni

It definitely looks beefy that's for sure, maybe too beefy for me. It's not ugly, I'm torn haha.

Thank you too :)

Edit: That armor though. I swear if I buy this board, it's because of you :P
