Hey guys,

I am searching for a laptop just to use the web and for netflix. I want a simple design and not bulky. I came across a Macbook 2009 for 200 euro, Is this worth the money ?

And is the Macbook 2007 worth 140 euro ?

Edit just came across a 2010 macbook for 150 euro. Shall I buy it?

Well since I am only going to use the pc for web surfing and netflix I don't realy need a Windows pc, and in my price range they are realy big.

And i realy like the apple design

Link? Depends on the specs.

The specs of the 2010 Macbook are:

Macbook white serie 5.2

Intel core 2 duo @ 2.0 Ghz

3Gb Ram ddr2

Go for the 2010 one, my dad recently picked one up and it works well. Yosemite slowed it down ever so slightly, but made it look a lot better, so I'd say go for it. You can upgrade the memory if necessary as well, although if you can find a later model with DDR3 memory then that would be best.

For €150 that's not a bad laptop but I doubt it'll play full HD properly.

How do you mean. Like stuttering ? Cuz the main reason is to watch Netflix and since I can't chance quality on Netflix it would be a problem

EDIt, you can turn hd off :D

Did some research and that cpu is faster than I thought, it will be fine. Also took a look on markplaats.nl and for €150 you aren't going to find anything faster, especially if you consider build quality and screen quality.

Well I have found some macbooks with ddr3 they are slightly more expensive. Is it worth to give around 75/100 euro more to get ddr3 ?

It is only 200mhz faster

Depends on the rest of the specs. Clockspeed doesn't say everything about performance, if it's a newer architecture the performance gains could be quite significant.

Well I've found a 2008 macbook right now for 300 euro but it has 4Gb Ddr3, Intel core 2 duo and a 256gb ssd. Realy thinking of getting that one since i realy want a ssd in it.

Get the 2010 macbook and buy the SSD yourself for 90-100 euros: http://tweakers.net/categorie/674/solid-state-drives/producten/#filter:q1bKL0pJLXLLTM1JUbJSKi5ITc5My0xOLMnMz1PSgUgG5xeVAOUSi5PhIkBlnkD15kZmOkoFRZnJqb6ZeUpWBjpgA9wyc0pSi4qVrKqVjMwsjUF0LkhaycjEAAiAhuQmVgC5xgZgbm1tLQA
