DayZ resoloution/launch problem

Hi, when i launch dayz  it goes to a dreadful resoloution where the mouse cursor becomes the size of my actual mouse and i cant see anything or do anything and even if i minimize the game everything else is at that resoloution, so i dont know how i can make it launch properly  

does anyone know how to fix it and make DayZ work properly?

You do realize what stage of development it's in right now, right?.....

You'll fix this problem and have 15 others.. That's DayZ. If you aren't okay with this, the word "Alpha" should be excluded from your next purchase.

Well obviously i get that, but i imagine not everyone has this problem so i was hoping someone could help me "make it run in a playable fashion" .. is that better?

I've yet to consider DayZ playable.

 

My first 5 hours in DayZ my character auto-spawned Dead or Unconscious. Five hours. I then fixed it, and got 6 problems slapped on top.

All you'll be doing IS tweaking, never "playing" - sure as shit not "enjoying".

 

 

Go play H1N1 - It's the equivalent to DayZ after puberty.

There is a config file change the resolution there.

I don't know the file's location but you can find it easily by googeling it.

And change the GUI size or something similar I don't know how they call it to normal or small.

Make sure your rendering rez if the same as the user interface rez.

As I mentioned, I'm sure there is a fix. Which is why I said once you fix this problem another will arise.

 

Lol, I'm sorry for being so negative.. DayZ irks me in rough pressure points. 

 

But to be totally honest with you, there's actually a great small community of DayZ players that deal with fixing game issues. Google around.
