Well, this isn't quite a build log, more so a build showcase. Mind you it isn't ANYTHING special. I'm proud of it solely because I've never actually had a source of income, just saved up over the years. I payed 200 usd for it, which isn't bad, though it had a 120 gb HDD in it, so I swapped it out with my sucky 750 gb seagate. As promised, the PC itself:

Here's my good ole GTX 260, it does alright considering it's age

And that would be it. Leave a comment on what you think. Cheers :D

I'm guessing that would be a OEM case?

On my bro's build, yes. On mine, honestly I'm not quite sure what brand, but it's not OEM. It might be homemade tbh, no serial anywhere, no numbers, logos, even the led controller has no indication of it's origin.

wow talking about budget. lol i was actually complaining that my 980 doesn't perform that well on a 4K display and I should get the Titan X for that reason. This... Makes me feel a little selfish and spoiled. Also you stated that "though it had a 120 gb HDD in it, so I swapped it out with my sucky 750 gb seagate" why does the 750 suck? Slowness?

The case of your brothers is from the HP Compaq Presario.  It has NO Front fan ports (you can attach a 80mm with screws/bolts) maybe a 100 or if super good, a 120mm...

It was made to hold a Pentium 4 with a Super loud Stock cooler!  (my grandmother has one) 150 GB HDD.

For the Best builds and Price lists here is a world where many points of the price have been predefined already for your convenience!

The Xeon E3 1231 V3 IS BETTER Than the Core i5 4690K and a Significantly better value for the non-overclockers or value shoppers.

The OS is like a kind food, Try it before saying if you like it or don't.

Well, I bought a new seagate once. It was doa. Got another, dead in a week. Not to mention how slow they are out of the box, as the one I'm using now (the only one that didnt die yet) was slow even from day one. Hell my brother's WD green is faster, and the sole purpose of a green is energy efficiency....

Good gosh that Compaq.  It is burning my eyes.

Your telling me, I sit feet away and mine is visually better, but he runs EVERYTHING maxed out 60fps. Meanwhile I'm crying in the corner getting 20 fps on DayZ.

Actually, it held my childhood pc. It was an AMD sempron 3400+ (single core 1.8ghz woopty doo) 1 gb ddr2, and a geforce 6150 on the motherboard. It did alright until about 2007 then it barely ran runescape. The side vents are fantastic, no fan mounts obviously, and the front shits air when he games. The back fan is an intake, and it creates a sweet breeze for what it is.

Actually, no. It has good airflow and no component if his are particularly heat intensive to begin with. The 980 gets to a whopping 76 degrees. And his 4790k on stock heatsink gets to 65 ish.
