I call this PC "Stupidity" because I made some terrible choices when I built it.

Specs:

-AMD A8 6500 APU

-XFX R7 260X Double Dissipation (dualfan cooler)

-8GB cheap Samsung 1600MHz memory (single DIMM)

-MSi A88XM-GAMING mobo

-Corsair H100i

-Thermaltake Smart 650W PSU.

-Corsair Carbide Air 240

-2TB Hybrid HDD/SSD (holy balls, they are pretty fast.)

*No SSD yet, but planning on one in the next few weeks or months.

-Rear 80mm fan (only exhaust, positive air pressure)

-h100i pulling fresh air from outside/intake

Display and Peripherals:

-Gateway 19' 720p monitor (part of bundle from like '07)

*75Hz refresh rate, decent colors, a lot of input lag.

-Razer BlackWidow Ultimate Chroma

-Razer Naga 2014

-Bose Companion 2 Mk3

-Razer Kraken Pro (mic is broken, but I don't care, it sucked)

*tired of the Razer stuff yet? i'll end your suffering.

The point of this PC is for upgradibility. I use the water cooler in case I switched to X99. The power supply is kind of overboard, but that goes with the upgradibility thing, so I could swap to a 290 or a 970/980 and have enough juice to keep her fed. This PC is coming on a year old, but will play any 720p game at high to max settings (except DayZ of course). The computer isn't meant to instantly catch your eye, that's why it's not neon green and covered in pictures of dildos, it's meant to be functional and attractive without looking like Kim Kardashian.

I can't upload any pictures of it, since my phone is taking 4k photos, and they are like eight megabytes a picture.

Nevermind, I found a cheat code. (coughpaint.netcough)

Holy bad choices Batman!

Welp, could have been worse.

But if you didn't spend so much on the fancy stuff you could have made it out with an i5 and possibly a 970 on a good day.

The reason I spent too much money on the fancy goodies is because, like I said, I want to be able to upgrade this and not spend a dime except for the parts that I want to upgrade to. Switching to a 5960X and using a banana to cool it is stupid, so why not waste a hundred bucks on the H100i?

Good point, actually. But that means you're going to have to try to ride the storm until your next upgrade.

Why are you blowing hot air into your case?  (h100 intake)
