HI everybody I have an Asus Z97 Pro Gamer MoBo and I want to paint it white I mean the parts I can to match it to the NZXT phantom 820 so here I go -

1. What part can I paint on the MoBo ?

2 Can I do it with a brush like in modeling airplanes ?

3 Will this color do (I can paint) Winsor & Newton Galeria - Titanium White (titanium dioxide pw6) permanence AA series 1 Acrylic flow formula ?

4. Will it void the warranty ?

5.Heat and other problems ?

That's about what I can think off please share your ideas or worries

Thanks

The warranty will be void if you do a permanent change to the motherboard and as for what to paint how and what kind of paint it all depends what you are painting on the motherboard, heatsinks on it should be done with regualr spray paint or plasti-dip which is a removable rubber spray but can insulate the heatsink a fair bit. Temps are less of an issues since most paints can take fairly high temps, plasti-dip also whichs is good to 100C.

As for using model paints they can be done be used but it's not as smooth as a finish you'll get with a spray can and masking.

What did you have in mind when you wanted to paint the motherboard?

thank you for replying the heatsinks 4 sure should I be worried about taking them off ?

and the chocks maybe

can I buy a spray can and DIY ? do I need experience ? should I do it with a demo mode like ?

can I buy a better thermal to put under the heatsinks then what ASUS has ?

also can I paint after the spay with a black stripe on it ?

For heatsinks the removal is pretty easy usually, where it's either a screw on the back of the motherboard or a push pin style that just hold it in place, and it can be released from the front side. I would remove the heatsinks before starting and mask off the bottom after removingt the thermal pads for re-use after since they are fairly good pads. For spray paint it's about light even coats, and spraying down into the heatsink to get the paint nicely covered in the low spots on the heatsink, and if you want to add a stripe on it after you can do that no issues.

You can take off heatsinks no problem. They are simply screwed in. You dont have to worry about changing thermal pads. They are probably extremely good already and dont need to be replaced.I would avoid putting a stripe on it aswell since it would start to create a certain thickness to the paint which is undesirable on a component that serves to release heat
