Hello. .ヾ(・ε・`) !

So I have just finished my System a week ago here. I have been through many sites including here where they say Overclocking is a good value that adds more performance to the purchased Hardware.

Never tried Overcloking, and little knowledge on it. Is it true that you loose all warranty(Store and Original Manfacturer) if you Overclock? Whould it be more beneficial or detrimental? Would it be worth the risks?

If its worth doing, anyone have guides on where to start? Again I have no experience on this what so ever.

CPU: i7 4790k 4.00GHz

GPU: Asus Strix GTX 980

RAM: Corsair Vengence Pro DDR3 2133 (8x2)16G

Motherboard: Asus Maximus Hero VII

PSU: Corsair 750w Gold Modular

CASE: Corsair 450D

Thanks. .ヾ( ´ー`)ノ ! !

Well, I personally don't see the point of overclocking such a powerful CPU, especially if you aren't using it for content creation

But if you do feel the need to overclock it, this process should be very easy for you as your CPU is unlocked (multiplier can be changed)

You can take a look at this thread : http://pcdiy.asus.com/2014/06/6-4970k-cpus-overclocked-oc-impressions-of-devils-canyon-on-asus-z97-motherboards/

With an i7, it's more overclocking for fun or getting a little bit more out of rendering/content creation.

If you want to start overclocking, you will need an aftermarket cooler.
