Hi,

been reading for a some time but this is my first post here.

i have

Intel Core i7-3770K

Asus P8Z77-V

G.Skill Ripjaws Z Edition 16GB @ 1600Mhz

as a pc setup with some other stuff not important atm ( listed in my profile. )

now i came by some Kingston Hyper-X Fury Blue memory 8GBx4 that makes it 32gb more then i have now.

the pc is over clocked and works just fine with the the g.skill ram now, now i reset all the clocks to default and i installed the hyper-x ram. and run stock but i get tons of crashes windows boot fine but things like chrome or other random program start to crash randomly also prime fails with the following error "fatal error rounding was 0.5 , expected less than 0.4" ones i remove the hyper-x ram and re install the g.skill ram everything works fine again even with OC. now the ram is in the approved list i checked at Kingston site.

so to my question why does it happens?

thanks in advance and sorry for the long post.

i tried to use two of hyper-x and two of g.skill and had the same errors so i got more of the hyper-x so i wouldn't mix ram. but using a single stick at a time i didn't try. becouse it's new i assumed it's good but you have a point there maybe i got a bad stick need to run memtest on it.

no, the moment i install the hyper-x the board doesn't allows me to set XMP profile anymore.

Edit: the ram didn't came as a kit but as singles.

Edit2: going to run memtest on the hyper-x ram with my other pc ( too much work to play with the main one ~ damn cooler too big covering half of the ram~ ) , ill post update as soon as i can, but still open to ideas if anybody have some.
