So I played since launch and decided to hop back in. I lost my old account info so I decided to start over from scratch.

Does anyone want to start a new character together?

I'm on almost daily, hit me up if you want to play.

EChondo.6750 is my account name, message me in-game.

*Edit, I host my own Teamspeak server and that's where my cousin and friends all communicate. GW2 has a max party size of five people, and we currently have four ourselves. You're welcome to join us in my teamspeak if you'd like. We don't really do dungeons, but I think we are gearing up for that. If you have any questions or anything we can help.

Just out of curiosity, why do you like the game so much? Wondering if I should just put in the time to see if it is any good as my toon is a lvl 16.

To be honest I have a great dislike for MMO's because of the grind mindset, however in Guild Wars 2 that is almost not apparent unless you actively stay in one area and kill mobs mindlessly for weeks just like that one South Park episode about World of Warcraft.

You might not like leveling, which I can understand completely, but it isn't that bad. Maybe find a guild or a group of friends to play with? If you really just want to get to level 80 instantly then you can follow a crafting guide like Gw2Crafts.net but it'll cost you quite a bit of in-game gold and you're only really guaranteed 7-10 levels per profession you level to 400. You can farm with a commander in Edge of the Mists(EotM) and gain levels there and you can also play in PvP matches to get Tomes of Knowledge which increase your level by one, you can get an endless amount of these though, but you do have to work for them.

The endgame in Guild Wars 2 is pretty varied, there are; dungeons, PVP, WvWvW/EotM, map completion, world bosses, farm trains, mystic forging, and crafting ascended/legendary items. Then there are the occasional in-game events and the new expansion is coming out, Heart of Thorns. I enjoy Guild Wars 2 a lot because there are so many things to do in the game than other MMO's I've played in the past.

I think it'll be worth your time, I mainly play Warrior, but I've been experimenting with Mesmer and Thief a bit, I'm starting to really like Thief for its mobility so I might switch my main over to him. You might want to experiment with different classes, when you create a new character you can go to the PvP lobby with them and see what the class can fully do and play around with the weapons since your character is upleveled to 80 while in PvP. If you need some good builds, you can check out Metabattle.com.

I completely agree with you.  I hate the grind but sometimes I just want to make it to end game content.  As for leveling, I do not mind it just as long as the story line is good but it seems that is becoming few and far between.  Last time I actually enjoyed the story line in any MMO was Lich King.  I may just have to create a new character and try to find a class that is more fun then the archer I have now.  Truthfully though, I do not have too many friends that have PC because most of them are on consoles.  So most of the time I am just running solo and see what is available in GW2.  I do enjoy a lot of the scenery in the game and sometimes just wander to see what is on the other side of the map.

I really appreciate your input and the 2 links to get more info about the game.  I will give it another shot and put some time into it and see how it comes out.
