  • Seagate 1TB Desktop HDD

Do you need to upgrade?

CPU: G3258 @ 4GHz GPU: Gigabyte GTX 960 OC RAM: 8GB G.Skill DDR3 1600 SSD: Corsair LS 120GB Case: Antec GX500 Mouse: Logitech G402 Keyboard: Razer Blackwidow Headphones: Shure SRH440 Microphone: That Zalman Zm-Mic1 that everyone recommends but noone uses

Remember when the R9 280 was the HD 7950? Pepperidge Farm remembers.

I'd say the cooler would be a worthy upgrade.

As for the motherboard...not so much. Graphics wise, if you're on a budget the 290 is an excellent choice. Otherwise I'd wait for their new cards to come out in a couple of months, as they're supposed to be considerably more powerful. If you're gaming at 1080p, it honestly won't matter *that* much.

None of those are worthwhile upgrades, unless you're using the stock cooler now.

Changing from one aftermarket cooler to another won't get you huge results, even if it's from something like a 212 Evo to an h100i.

An R9 290 will be bottlenecked by your CPU

A different motherboard doesn't affect performance, just featureset, and you wont be making use of any of the other features of that mobo.

A new case would be for looks. It won't be a performance upgrade.

Ok but some corrections (not been rude)

  1. I have a stock cooler.
  2. My CPU wont bottleneck becuase is like a intel core i5 4690k
  3. Finally i want to upgrade a case for more space and airflow

-Thanks

I'm sorry but the two are not equivalent. Your CPU has better multi-threaded performance, but the core i5-4690k has better single-threaded performance, which is crucial for many games. Other games require both good multi and single-threaded performance, which the i5 offers as well. That's the big limiting factor you're going to run into.

Ok thanks Lotus but is worth it upgrade the CPU to a i5 or i7 and change the mobo i want those amazing intel features like better mobos, power conssumption and many more i want your opinion thanks ;)

I don't know what features would be relevant. I'm always thinking of performance, and Intel definitely offers significantly better single-threaded performance.
