My Power Supply has gotten into question by several members and i should begin to invest in another power supply due to the fact the current supply Could Fail at any time (If you must know it is a Kentek PSU 680W) (Hasnt blown yet! But not taking a risk, IT MUST GO!)

So i now have to say... I must now invest in a PSU, Now to go with the way in picking, What Type of PSU Should i go for and how much wattage should i go for with the current set up i have.

If i had to pick here is my current looking:

Non Modular: CX 430 Cost 29.99: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139090

Modular: CX500M Cost 39.99: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139110

If you have any suggestions suggest them below,

MOTHERBOARD: Gigabyte Z170X-Gaming 5 CPU: INTEL G4400 CASE: DIYPC-SOLO-T1-R

HDD: 160GB SEAGATE SSD: 128GB SAMSUNG PRO 850

 POWER SUPPLY: 550W ANTEC

Sorry I am not going to recommend you get a refurb and I was sure the CX psus from Corsair are their low budget, cheapo psus which people have had issues with.  I would recommend you look at SeaSonic, Antec and EVGA.

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S

  • 2 weeks later...

Modular for sleeving is a great choice. I would stick with the rm series or axi series for ease of sleeving.
