CPU and GPU usage.

I knew for a long time that my cpu (CORE 2 QUAD Q6600) is a bottleneck for my 580 on my second rig.

But today playing dayz , i get way lower fps than a friend with a i5 2400s and a 560 and not like 10-15 diference but he gets 70+ in forests and i get ~30+ in forests , basicaly low usage places.

 

Decided to measure whats my GPU usage on Dayz.

After i measured it my max gpu usage is 89% , which only reaches that when i tab into the game , but during the actual game it runs around 39-52 %.Not only that but my CPU usage is runing around during gameplay 80-100 , rarely reaching 100.

 

Is this due to the fact that im using low settings or is something really f**ked up.

 

PS.

 

During CSGO gameplay my gpu reaches 89 and my cpu at all times.

His i5 also has twice the IPC. Isn't really odd he gets almost twice the framerate.

Should a g3258 with a 4.6-4.4 OC outperform it?

Apparently yes. 2 cores is about all that game really scales on.
