I have a 

XFX Double D R9-270X-CDFC Radeon R9 270X 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card

I was told the card does not do Justice to my new build, should i upgrade? any suggestions?

Your build is poorly balanced if its for gaming, yeah the GPU is kinda low end for an i7^^

what resolution do you play on?

 

you could go for a GTX 970, R9 290/290x

Wait for the new AMD release. You're GPU's are fine for now however if you MUST get it before hand r9 290x / 970 are good choices.

Yea i decided to redo my past build and saw the bundle cpu/mobo/ram and got it, does it really matter that i have a I7? i know everyone says i5 is fine.

Nah it is just overpowered, but nothing to be worried about :D
