If they are not ACX 2.0+ than FTW has better heatsink.

They are both ACX 2... That's why I am so confused by the too. Here in Taiwan they are 35$ apart.

There are 2 versions of ACX 2.0 the + and non + versions, non + had issues with heatsink http://cdn.eteknix.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/heatpipe.jpg

FTW version uses better heatsink.

 

And ACX 2.0+ cards have the best one.

They don't have the + version for the 980 yet, only the 970.

Oh you meant 980, for some reason I thought you meant 970

I am pretty sure that only 970 had the issue

Well after a lot of research, I found a single video of the 980 FTW, and guess what, it's some guy complaining about a slight coil whine .

Does the SC have dual bios too?

According to official site SC doesn't have dual bios switch.

I have 970 FTW and I there is a bit of coil whine but only when the framerate really high and I can barely hear it when the room is completly quiet, and it is EVGA so if the coil whine will be really bad they will exchange your card for another.
