Hi!

When I got my PC, there was a bug with the login. Now I can't enter the computer at all. Does the bug explain why I couldn't enter any programs that I loaded up earlier on the computer, before i discovered the login bug?

Now I'll have to reformat the PC. It says I'll need to start it, put in the disc, then turn the computer off, and then start it again. Does the computer only need to be turned on, or do you need to be logged in?

Please help, or I have wasted $2000 on PC that doesn't even work.

What do you mean when you say "Login Bug" What kind of bug? What happens when you log in? Can you log in? Did you type the right Password?

What login bug? If it's a fresh install, then there shouldn't any problems with logins.

I have no idea on what you're doing.

The login bug means Windows denies me access to the pc when I login to get to the desktop. It's the right login because it just loads forever if I type something else. When I'm denied me access, it's says something about "Policy Client". Can't remember the 3rd word.

If you are not sure what safe mode is I would recommend a technician to diagnose your PC. If you still want to know how to enter Safe Mode click the show button below.

Reboot the computer
Start tapping the F8 key as soon as your manufacturer’s logo appears. This will open the Windows Advanced Options Menu.
If you begin tapping the F8 key too soon, some computers display a "keyboard error" message. To resolve this, restart the computer and try again.
If you see the Windows logo, it means you did not start pressing the F8 button soon enough. You will need to reboot and try again.

Select your Safe Mode option
You can choose regular Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Networking, and Safe Mode with Command Prompt (There are more options, but these are the most common ones).

Regular Safe Mode will open Windows with minimal drivers and no internet connection. This is the most recommended method for dealing with viruses and other malware.

Safe Mode with Networking will open windows in Safe Mode with your network connection settings. This mode is useful if you need to use the internet to troubleshoot or download drivers.

Safe Mode with Command Prompt will put you at a DOS command prompt as opposed to Windows. This is useful for running command prompt tools such as chkdsk.

Press Enter
The computer then begins to start in Safe mode. Your computer will attempt to boot normally the next time you restart.

You may not be able to format you PC that way you need to press F2 right after turning on your PC and change the boot order so that your PC reads from your CD Drive before booting your HDD / SSD. After formatting you may need to reinstall drivers.

Where did you buy your computer?

Is it a brand name, or custom build?

Was the account created for you? Or did you pass through the 'first time starting Windows setup' wizard (the one where you have the license agreement, and gives you the ability to create your account)?

What Windows do you have?

What Windows do you have?

I bought it from a service where they put together a custom PC out of the parts desired.(selected by the customer). Windows and drivers were preinstalled, but there was a bug than occurred after 5 hours of use. I'm getting a DvD to reinstall Windows, but I was just wondering if the bug had something to do with the program not being able to start up after installment. I restarted my PC because I thought it would might help with starting up the software. I realized there was a bug when I restarted the PC because the access was denied.

(Windows 8.1)

This is interesting, as this error is possible only when you have Windows joined onto a domain.

I think the person that installed Windows used a downloaded image of the system instead of using the Windows disk which is corrupted or the software you are trying to install really screwed the system up. I am also surprised how your custom build PC didn't come with Windows disk already as you purchased it.

Anyway, if it is corrupted Windows image, then yes it could explain the problem. If the problem happens again after you re-installed Windows and all your drivers, then it your software that you are trying to installed that it screwing up with Windows.
