So I got my computer up and running. But my DVD rom won't work. So is there a way to get my windows 7 disk onto a flash drive or somthing?

Win32 Disk Imager use that to burn the iso to a flash drive, you can download it, somewhere ...

Why isn't it working? Do you know is it flat broken or is it just simply not opening. Cause there is a force open tab you can use if it still reads.

Is the troubled computer a Windows computer/tower if it is make 100% sure everything is plugged in correctly. It sounds pathetic but it's important. Reboot and try again.

Ah, simple.

Download the iso. Make sure you have a flash drive (USB) of 4GB or more. Make sure to wipe it completely clean in the FAT32 format.

Extract the iso from your Downloads folder onto the flash drive. It's been a little over a year since I've used a Mac so this process is a bit vague for me, but you get the idea. Extracting the iso to the flash drive is the key here.

 

Once the hour-long or so process is done, plug the flash drive into the PC you want to install Windows on (make sure the PC if off), boot it up, go into the boot menu or make sure the first boot option in the BIOS is a removable drive, choose the flash drive (works for either choice I just mentioned) and the install should go. Will take 30 or more minutes.
