Anyone out there have a chance to use Phanteks's new MP series of fans, and are able to comment on their differences with the SP series? I'm interested to know how the visible (and possibly invisible) changes affect performance characteristics. Do they move more/less air while making more/less noise, etc.

SP is static pressure and MP is a airflow, I have two SP140's for in my intake from Phanteks. Better than my old Noctuas.

I'm going to say that you're not right...Phanteks calls their MP series "a high static pressure fan"

They call both of their fans are designed to produce/overcome high static pressure, so I was wondering if there is a real world difference in performance. I too have a pair of their PH-F140SP fans for intake. xD

I thought MP's were for air flow, I have both and the SP's have more force behind them and perform better on my 280mm rad.

EDIT: apparently the MP are sold as a "rad" fan, even though they perform worse, lol.

Really? The SP series move more air through your radiator than the MP? At the same RPM/noise level? (I'm surprised). And related, what radiator do you have?

How much of a gain were the SPs of the stock Kraken fans? SPCR seems to like them.

like 1c, I still have my NZXT FN V2's that came with it, one spun a bearing tho.

Based on your experience, SP > FN > MP?
